Delayed Connect Prompt
--- Delays the session until the tech signals the customer module to
connect. Each customer can have a unique delayed connect code or you can
you can start multiple customer connections at the same time by assigning
them the same code. This option is useful to allow the customer to run the file
before leaving the office and allow the tech to start the session at a
later time/date when ready or available or to help control inbound
connections. PHP/ASP/Perl/CGI powered websites can be programmed to
control and track the sessions and balance technician workload when
combined with the web-based customer module configuration option. The
session can also be started immediately by instructing the customer to
leave the code blank and clicking skip.
Since the customer must initiate the
session, there are never any un-invited connections which helps preserve
system security. Not applicable to Presenter.

WebConfig Checkbox --- If the WebConfig box is enabled it will prompt the user for the configuration filename at the location specified in the address box. The config filename that customer enters will have the .txt appended automatically so you must name your configuration files with the .txt extension. For example, if the customer enters 123 and the addrsss box has www.yourwebsite.com the modules will try to download
http://www.yourwebsite.com/123.txt.
This will allow you to support an unlimited number of technicians from a single customer support module.
WebConfig Filename --- Enter only the filename, do not use HTTP:// or any subfolders. The address the customer module will use to find the file is the primary address entered in the address field. Since the customer will not be entering the filename, it will be used exactly as entered (.txt will NOT be appended)

the password will change daily by automatically appending the numeric day of the

Proxy Prompt --- Asks the remote customer for the unique
ticket number or ID code assigned to the customer by the technician for
automated repeater connections (the repeater allows both technician and
customer to connect through firewalls they don't control). The repeater
is useful if the technician is behind a firewall or NAT router at an
alternate location such as a hotel and cannot open ports for inbound
connections. If no number is entered, the module will connect in standard
viewer mode. This does not increase the file download size and does not
present a prompt after installation, re-boot or logoff/logon.
If the Repeater Checkbox is enabled (contains a checkmark) Proxy mode and Direct mode will both be disabled and Repeater (ID:) mode will be enabled instead. In Repeater mode the session and will not connect through to a workstation. The Technician will have to connect to the proxy in Repeater Mode using the same ID code as the customer.
If the Repeater Checkbox is enabled (contains a checkmark) Direct mode and Proxy mode will both be disabled and Repeater (ID:) mode will be enabled.
If the Repeater Checkbox is enabled and the Repeater ID field is blank, the customer will be prompted for the repeater ID: code.
If the Repeater Checkbox is enabled and the Repeater ID field is completed, customer module will try to connect in Repeater mode with no session prompt.

Mode --- Allows all technicians to
share the same public address and public port so that only one port has to
be opened in your firewall/router. This does not increase the file download size and does not
present a prompt.
If the Repeater Checkbox is disabled and the Proxy address is blank, Proxy mode will be disabled and the customer module will try to connect in Direct mode.
If the Repeater Checkbox is disabled and the Proxy address is completed, Proxy mode will be enabled and customer module will try to connect in Proxy mode with no session prompt.
If the Repeater Checkbox is disabled and and the last number of Proxy address is ? the customer will be prompted for the last few numbers of address to the target workstation allowing you to support an unlimited number technician seats from a single customer support module.

Customizing:
DualDesk Executive
can be
customized
with your own Splash Screen and text in the customer auto-setup modules and
the technician's setup
program. Only the auto-installer can be customized in the Executive
Edition, the DualDesk program icons and internal program text remains the same as in the PRO
edition. Select the
options you need, then send us your custom
splash screens. Delivery normally
takes 5 to 10 days.
We will need the following for your custom
splash screen:
- 2 to 256 colors .bmp file for the
customer module (server) splash screen. This can be any size but
it adds to the customer download so smaller and less colors is better.
We recommend no larger than 200x75x16 colors.
- 164x314 pixels x 256 color .bmp file for
the technicians setup/install program.
- 50x50 x 256 colors .bmp file for the
technician setup/install program.

DualDesk Corporate is designed for Corporations, Service Providers and VARS and is custom programmed with
your company name, text, icons and logos to help protect your trade
secrets from competitors.
The level of customizing is up to you. For
the basic customized package ($1995
) we will customize it with your own logos, icons, company name, contact
info and your copyright embedded into the executable. The executable will
still be named DualDesk.exe and the DualDesk name will still be displayed
in the task manager task list and the Windows registry will have a
DualDesk entry. This is the level most small to mid-sized
corporations, consultants and service providers request.
We will need the following for your custom
logo, icons and information:
- 2 to 256 colors .bmp file for the
customer module (server) splash screen. This can be any size but
it adds to the customer download so smaller and less colors is better.

- 300x200 pixels x 256 color .bmp file for
the viewer splash screen.

DualDesk
Enterprise Edition provides even further customizing and replaces the DualDesk executable name and service name with the name you
specify so that DualDesk is not displayed in the task manager task list, registry or executable etc... this
costs additional (based on our standard hourly programming rate) but ensures you have a unique package that your competitors cannot easily trace back to Advantig as your
supplier. This is the level of customizing most large corporations,
VARs and OEMs prefer.
